Buses, Apples and Trains

General Introduction

I am sometimes asked to stand in at short notice for a lecturer who cannot make it, and so I like to have something ready. Some time back, I had nothing in hand, so I thought that if I were asked, I might offer a compilation of unpublished pieces which I have composed over the years.

From time to time I compose verse - I do not glorify it with the name 'poetry' - and I put together a group of pieces which I called Buses, Apples and Trains. These have not hitherto been recorded in any fixed form - they have tended to evolve a little - so I thought it might be an idea to set them down, together with a brief introduction to each piece.

I have started a new page for each piece, but they are in the proposed order of presentation. The pages are listed on the left.
