Here beginneth the Gospel according to Saint Vladimir:
In the first minute of Creation God created Russia. And He saw that it was good.
And in the second minute of Creation God created Ukraine. And He saw that it also was good, albeit somewhat more small.
Therefore gave He Ukraine unto Russia in perpetuity, saying, "Whosoever shall wrest Ukraine from the bosom of Russia shall forever be accursed in the sight of the Lord God of Russia and of all mankind."
Thus spake He, that all mankind might know that Russia shall have dominion over Ukraine for all eternity.
