If you are travelling through Petersham on the upper deck of a 65 bus and if you look in the right direction at the right time,
you may happen to glimpse a family of topiary elephants in the beautiful garden of a very attractive house.
They are difficult to spot on a northbound bus, but when travelling south, you can see them on the left over the gates of the house.
There are three free-standing elephants, obviously grown on frames and beautifully tended, as is the rest of the garden. The largest
is presumably meant to be the father, the other large one must be the mother, and then there is a baby, markedly smaller. They are
a source of delight to children and adults alike and have a growing army of fans.
